Q: When is the best time to take maternity photos?
A: It is best to photograph expecting mothers at their 8th month of pregnancy. At this time the belly’s roundness is fully formed.
Q: What is the difference between studio photo session and outdoor photo session?
A: A studio photo shoot is taken indoors at our studio. It is a more controlled setting in terms of lighting and weather. I have full control on the studio lighting and I can change lighting setups as appropriate for my clients. The backgrounds are limited to what the studio has. (See our backgrounds). Outdoor sessions are done anywhere outside our studio. It could be at your home, at a nearby park, beach or other beautiful scenic places. Kids tend to relax more in parks where they can play and run around. You can also choose locations that mean more to you and your family. However we do not have control over the weather and lighting, and I will use my expertise to put you in the best available light possible. Outdoor sessions will have a $110 additional charge.
Q: What should I wear for family photos?
A: Wear the attire you want to be photographed in. Feel free to look your best in formals, or dress down in jeans for casual fun shoot. Some families want to dress up in coordinating colors or motif, which give the photo harmony. Other families dress in totally different colors, and as a whole, gives the photo an interesting contrast. See our family photo gallery, you may pick up some ideas.
Q: Should I bring props?
A: Bring props that you want to be included in the photograph. Our studio has several props for your use. Feel free to bring your own props like balloons, your kid’s favorite toy, or your child’s favorite musical instrument, sports balls and sports attire, etc. One of our clients brought a basket of fresh vegetables for this fun picture.
Q: Do you provide hair and makeup? Do you provide clothing?
A: No. We don’t provide hair and makeup. We don’t provide clothing, we only have some fabrics good for maternity and baby photos.
Q: How many outfit changes does my package include?
A: For a one hour photo shoot, you can change outfits 2 or 3 times.
Q: Do you have additional charge for pets?
A: Yes, we have a minimal $30 additional charge per pet to include your pets in your photo session.
Q: How do I book you?
A: Purchase any of our packages, and then schedule your session online. Please enter your receipt number when scheduling on line. Please note that we have a 24 hour cancellation policy.
Q: Is there a cancellation charge?
A: Please cancel your appointment 24 hours before your photo session to avoid any cancellation fees. Otherwise there will be a cancellation charge of $30.
Q: Are you going to use our photos in your website?
A: Yes, your photos may be used in our website, blog and marketing materials. This is done in good faith. If you are not comfortable with this arrangement, please let me know (preferably in email) and your photos will not be used. Thank you.
